Please volunteer to join the Board. This is your HOA. You chose to purchase a home in this neighborhood. Don't be that person that says someone else will do it. If the HOA is not managed properly, YOU personally can be held collectively accountable by Government agencies, both City, State and Federal. This could mean that you may not be able to legally sell your home if you decide to leave if property taxes are not paid on the common park area. The current President is retiring and moving from the neighborhood. The current VP is on his way out as well. Once both are gone (soon), there will be no one left on the Board to manage the HOA. The park and areas behind the fences at Northshore Blvd and Broadway Blvd will not get mowed, Federal tax forms will not be filed, required State of Tx Public Information forms will not be filed, dues will not be collected, insurance will not be paid, the Nicklaus St median will not be maintained, the City and/or State will likely place liens on everyone's property for code violations meaning that not only will there be a monetary fine, but you won't be able to sell your house. Not filing Federal tax forms will also result in penalties. Please reach out to the current president to join the board even if it's for only one term.
